Dear Members,
The Tennis Committee would like to advise all members of the forthcoming Summer League fixtures. This is the first time since 2019 that DLTC have been able to run Summer Leagues and it is great to see competitive tennis back on the calendar.
Summer Leagues are the premier event in the DLTC calendar and we have entered 4 ladies teams and 5 men’s teams.
As a result 5 courts will be required for league matches for approximately 2 hours four days per week . We apologise for the loss of court availability at these times but hope that by giving the dates in advance members not involved in leagues have an opportunity to book a different time slot while Summer League is taking place.
We would also like to wish the large number of members participating in leagues the very best of luck in their campaigns.
Ladies Leagues – 4 teams – Matches on Tuesdays & Wednesdays 7.30pm
May 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th & 31st
June 1st, 7th & 8th
Men’s Leagues – 5 teams – Matches on Fridays 7.30pm & Saturdays 2pm/4pm
May 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th & 28th
June 10th & 11th
We would also ask that members please respect the rules and etiquette concerning league matches. They always take priority, so if a match exceeds the time booked on the system, the league match is allowed to finish. Also, if a league match is being played on a front court, the court beside it cannot be used until the league match is finished.
