Current COVID-19 restrictions & the Club Bar

Dear Members, Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions the bar will not be open this evening or tomorrow evening and given the 8pm closing time, it will remain closed in the evenings for the month of January. We are however hoping to open on the 29th and 30th December from 2pm - 7.30pm to coincide with the Christmas Doubles Tournament. Complimentary festive nibbles will be provided and all members regardless of participation in the tournament are very welcome. Guests & Green Fees

Dear Members, All members can now bring a guest to play @ CWLTC. The following are the rules governing guests & green fees. The cost per hour is €7.50. The member making the booking must have enough credit in their Smart Purse or the booking won't proceed. When viewing the booking calendar, the members Smart Purse balance is displayed at the top right hand corner of the screen. Guests can only be included in an off-peak booking. No guests are allowed after 6pm Monday to Friday. The guests full name MUST be entered correctly into the system (see NAME -1 field). Dear Members, Well done to everyone who has played their challenge matches so far, we hope you are enjoying the tennis. As we lost a couple of days last week to Storm Barra, the deadline for the round robin challenges has been extended to Thurs 23rd December. Cold Weather Tennis

Dear Members, As the first cold snap of the year is upon us we thought it prudent to remind you all not to play on the courts when the air temperature in 3 Degrees Celsius or below.  Apart from slipping and injuring yourself the court surface can be damaged if played on while frozen. Please be especially careful at the back of courts 4,5 & 6 they get little or no sun therefore take a lot longer to thaw out.  Stay Safe CWLTC

Junior Tournament

Dear Members, We would like to let you know that a Junior Tournament is taking place from the 29th November to the 8th December. Winter League 2022 – Challenge Matches

Dear Members, Thank you to everyone who signed up for Winter league. We have had a great response and will now put in a request with DLTC for a sixth team for both Ladies and Men. The Tennis Committee have organised challenge boxes to help with the selection of teams. These matches will give people an opportunity to practice and be match fit when it comes to leagues starting. Winter League Update

Dear Members,   The Tennis Committee would like to give an update on leagues.   Congratulations to our ladies 4th team who reached the quarter finals in Class 7. They lost a closely fought match to Ratoath last Sunday, but gained promotion to Class 6. Congratulations also to our ladies Class 5 team who gained promotion to Class 4.
