To coincide with Patrons and Sponsors Night on Friday July 24, Co. Wicklow Lawn Tennis Club will host our very own One Point Slam!
The format and the scoring are simple – a knockout draw where matches last exactly one point. The entire tournament will take place on the night, with a prize for the last person standing.
Rock-Paper-Scissors will decide who serves, and the server can chose which side to serve towards. The event will be unseeded and open to all members aged 14 and above (or who have played adult leagues). Men who played class 5 or above in their most recent DLTC summer and/or winter league campaign will only be allowed to hit one serve.
We hope to see lots of members on the night, taking part in a fun, fast paced and frantic form of tennis. Anyone wishing to sign up to take part can do so on Smart under the Events tile, the cost is €2.00 per person which will go into the pot for the winner!
