Dear Members,   The Tennis Committee would like to give an update on leagues.   Congratulations to our ladies 4th team who reached the quarter finals in Class 7. They lost a closely fought match to Ratoath last Sunday, but gained promotion to Class 6. Congratulations also to our ladies Class 5 team who gained promotion to Class 4. Dear Members, The court "Watch?" function is now active from 6pm to 10pm 7 days a week. What does it do? For example, you want to play on Thursday evening @ 7pm but all 6 courts are booked already. "Watch?" will inform you immediately by email if a member cancels a booking they made for 7pm Thursday. When looking at the court calendar for a time slot that's fully booked the column on the furthest right hand side will have the "Watch?" text visible. Dear Members, Our 3rd & 4th ladies teams have qualified for the Winter League knockout stages. Both Round of 16 matches are at home this Sunday at 2pm. Dear Members, The Tennis Committee is pleased to inform you that Autumn Team Tennis will take place this November. It will run over a three week period from November 1st. Team Tennis is an event for all levels and abilities in the club. We would especially encourage new members to join in as it is a great way to get some games and meet new people. Players are matched with a partner, put on a team and play at least four matches over three weeks. Pairings will always play other players of a similar level. Dear Members, We are pleased to let you know that adult coaching will commence this month. Our coaching team of Sinead and Odhran will run doubles coaching sessions in the evenings for a 4 week term. Different levels will be catered for and we would also encourage those playing leagues to participate. Juniors who will be eligible to play leagues next year (i.e. born 2007 or earlier) may also participate, if they are at the appropriate level.
