Cold Weather Tennis

Dear Members, As the first cold snap of the year is upon us we thought it prudent to remind you all not to play on the courts when the air temperature in 3 Degrees Celsius or below.  Apart from slipping and injuring yourself the court surface can be damaged if played on while frozen. Please be especially careful at the back of courts 4,5 & 6 they get little or no sun therefore take a lot longer to thaw out.  Stay Safe CWLTC

Junior Tournament

Dear Members, We would like to let you know that a Junior Tournament is taking place from the 29th November to the 8th December. There has been a tremendous entry with many juniors taking part in their first ever tournament. We wish them all the very best of luck. The tournament can be viewed here. Winter League 2022 – Challenge Matches

Dear Members, Thank you to everyone who signed up for Winter league. We have had a great response and will now put in a request with DLTC for a sixth team for both Ladies and Men. The Tennis Committee have organised challenge boxes to help with the selection of teams. These matches will give people an opportunity to practice and be match fit when it comes to leagues starting. Winter League Update

Dear Members,   The Tennis Committee would like to give an update on leagues.   Congratulations to our ladies 4th team who reached the quarter finals in Class 7. They lost a closely fought match to Ratoath last Sunday, but gained promotion to Class 6. Congratulations also to our ladies Class 5 team who gained promotion to Class 4. All of the other teams maintained their positions.   DLTC is running another Winter league in early February. Tech Support/Informational Evenings

Court Watching

Dear Members, The court "Watch?" function is now active from 6pm to 10pm 7 days a week. What does it do? For example, you want to play on Thursday evening @ 7pm but all 6 courts are booked already. "Watch?" will inform you immediately by email if a member cancels a booking they made for 7pm Thursday. When looking at the court calendar for a time slot that's fully booked the column on the furthest right hand side will have the "Watch?" text visible.
