Dear Members,   Zac Naughton won the Boys U14 National Indoor Championship Singles in David Lloyd Riverview last Monday beating the No.1 seed in a third set Championship tie-break 2/6 7/5 10/7. Well done Zac you are amazing ! Two years ago Zac won the same title U12. At the time Paddy Hickey wrote a brilliant written article  about Zac's win and his tennis journey to that point. Dear Members, Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions the bar will not be open this evening or tomorrow evening and given the 8pm closing time, it will remain closed in the evenings for the month of January. We are however hoping to open on the 29th and 30th December from 2pm - 7.30pm to coincide with the Christmas Doubles Tournament. Complimentary festive nibbles will be provided and all members regardless of participation in the tournament are very welcome. Dear Members, All members can now bring a guest to play @ CWLTC. The following are the rules governing guests & green fees. The cost per hour is €7.50. The member making the booking must have enough credit in their Smart Purse or the booking won't proceed. When viewing the booking calendar, the members Smart Purse balance is displayed at the top right hand corner of the screen. Dear Members, Well done to everyone who has played their challenge matches so far, we hope you are enjoying the tennis. As we lost a couple of days last week to Storm Barra, the deadline for the round robin challenges has been extended to Thurs 23rd December. Please try to complete all matches by then and send results to Ciara or Gary.  We are running a mini fast fours doubles tournament on Wed 29th and Thurs 30th December, which is separate to the league challenges and is open to everyone, regardless of level. Dear Members, As the first cold snap of the year is upon us we thought it prudent to remind you all not to play on the courts when the air temperature in 3 Degrees Celsius or below.  Apart from slipping and injuring yourself the court surface can be damaged if played on while frozen. Please be especially careful at the back of courts 4,5 & 6 they get little or no sun therefore take a lot longer to thaw out.  Stay Safe CWLTC

Dear Members, We would like to let you know that a Junior Tournament is taking place from the 29th November to the 8th December. There has been a tremendous entry with many juniors taking part in their first ever tournament. We wish them all the very best of luck. The tournament can be viewed here. Dear Members, Thank you to everyone who signed up for Winter league. We have had a great response and will now put in a request with DLTC for a sixth team for both Ladies and Men.
