Dear Members,
As we enter a busy period at our club we wanted to take the opportunity to remind our members, new and old, of some court etiquette that should be observed, and also some court booking rules.
Court and Club Etiquette:
- Please be mindful of players on court when you are moving to and from your court and please always access the back courts via the walkway and not through courts 1-3
- Food should not be consumed on court
- Please try not to interrupt another game to return/retrieve tennis balls, please wait for a break in play
- Please refrain from smoking on the patio when games are in progress, if smoking on club grounds ensure that you properly extinguish your cigarette and dispose of it safely
Court Booking Rules:
- Members should always book a court before playing. All players must be on the court booking (i.e. two players for singles and four players for doubles)
- It is not permitted for members to book a court under anybody else’s name (for example, parents should not book a court under their child’s name if they intend to use the court themselves)
- Guest players must be accompanied by a member. A guest may not use the club more than once a month. Guest green fees must be payed prior to playing. For more information on guests please see https://www.cowicklowltc.com/guests-and-green-fees/
We are looking forward to some fabulous tennis over the coming Spring and Summer months, if we all try and remember some of the etiquette and rules above it will make it a pleasant experience for all.
Kind regards
The General Committee
