Dear Members, We have stopped taking in new members. The demand has been phenomenal. We did not expect the level of demand we received. In a little over 24hrs we have processed 55 new members. The breakdown is approximately a 50-50 Adult to Junior split. The total membership now stands @ 710. We are confident CWLTC can cope with more than that number, however the committee has decided to be cautious and gauge what the demand will be like on our courts. Dear Member,   Membership is now open for an additional 50 new members with a closing date of the 19th of September OR beforehand should the maximum intake of 50 be reached. On September 20th membership will close to the public re-opening in Spring 2022 when a new waiting list will become available. Dear Member,   Who has the fastest serve in the club??  We will find out on Friday!   This Friday, in addition to our usual social tennis (starting at 7), we are going to run a fastest serve competition, with a prize for the winner. Dear Members,   The 2021 Senior Championship entry is now open!  This years tournament will run from Saturday September 4, with finals day taking place on Saturday September 18. All matches except Championship Singles will be the best of three sets with a Championship tie-break being played in the third set if necessary. Championship Singles matches will be the best of three full sets. Games will be full games i.e. no first point after deuce. Good afternoon,   We are delighted to let you know that our New Head Coach Odhran O’Sullivan Hamill will be starting with the club this week.   Odhran has over 10 years of experience working with players ranging from complete beginner juniors to current touring professionals. He has an extensive playing background having represented Ireland at both junior and collegiate level, experience that he says has served as a platform for designing effective lesson plans and programs with the aim of developing, improving, and retaining players of all ages and abilities.
