Dear Members, The Tennis Committee would like to advise all members of the forthcoming Summer League fixtures. This is the first time since 2019 that DLTC have been able to run Summer Leagues and it is great to see competitive tennis back on the calendar. Summer Leagues are the premier event in the DLTC calendar and we have entered 4 ladies teams and 5 men's teams. As a result 5 courts will be required for league matches for approximately 2 hours four days per week . Dear Members, Summer League is starting next Friday May 6, so if you haven't yet signed up yet and would like to play please do as soon as possible.  Sign up is open on Smart Club under 'Events' and will be closing on Saturday.   Each team consists of 7 players, 3 singles and 2 doubles pairings.  So when signing up please ensure that you select the appropriate event (singles or doubles), and don't worry about entering your doubles partner's name, we will be able to pair people up with their preferred partner. Dear Members, The inaugural Spring Singles Championships was a roaring success. It was run over the Easter holidays and attracted 90 players which it a fantastic number for a singles only event. There where three separate levels of singles competition to appeal to members of all standards. Thanks to all members who took part, we hope you enjoyed the event. Dear Members, We would like to let you know that CWLTC is teaming up with Bray Area Partnership to deliver Fáilte Isteach Conversational English language classes on Thursday mornings to new communities including Ukrainian refugees and people living in direct provision locally.    The classes will run every Thursday morning from 9.30am - 11.30am in the Clubhouse, so if you are up in the Club please say hello.  Also if you are hosting any families please let them know that these classes are taking place and that they are welcome to join.  Fáilte Isteach is a national Third Age Ireland…

Dear Members, We have been approached by someone who is researching ways to recycle tennis balls.  To help with this they need a large number of old tennis balls and have placed a blue container in the lobby to collect these from our members. So the next time you are up for a game, or if you are coming up to watch the Singles Championships semi finals tomorrow evening or the finals on Saturday afternoon bring any old tennis balls you have with you and drop them into the container.  Many thanks The General Committee

Dear Members, It is important that if you need to reschedule any singles championship matches that you let Caroline or Ciara know and they look after that for you. Courts have been block booked for the Singles Champs and if times and dates of matches are changed without prior notice, this will result in courts remaining empty. Given the level of demand for courts this is unfair to other club members who may wish to play. Scheduling of the later rounds and the plate competitions may also be impacted. Dear Members, Massive congratulations to our Men's 2nd team Nick Fahey, Dave Barry, Keith Dunne (capt), Kevin Conroy, Matthias Clark and Gilles Ducorroy, who won their Winter League final in the Club on Sunday beating Stratford 3-0. Thanks to subs Cathal McDonnell, Peter Kirby and Justin Fitzsimons who helped them during their league campaign. Congratulations to our Men's 5th team of Tom Armstrong, Johan Dehantschutter, Eamonn Moran (capt), Paolo Grassetti, Ultan Kelly and Graham O'Neill who were Class 7 Runners up on Sunday.
