Dear Member, Our Senior Open is kicking off this weekend and we have a jam packed schedule of matches taking place from 8.30am each morning.  The full schedule is available here. The kitchen will be serving food from 12.00pm and the BBQ will be fired up from 2pm. Our Ladies and Mens Championship Singles events are starting at 2.45pm on Saturday and we will be serving Pimms & Strawberries from 4.30pm. Dear Members, Sign up for Senior/Over 35 League is now up on Smart Club. Based on 2024 results we expect to have: Mens teams in Classes 2, 4 & 5 (with Class 5 being the lowest Class for O35 men) Ladies teams in Classes 3 x 2 teams, & 6 (there is a Class 7 for O35 Ladies and we will enter a 4th team if we have sufficient sign up numbers to fill all 4 teams) Senior Leagues are played on Sundays, and the round robin stages will begin on Sunday August 31st . County Wicklow Lawn Tennis Club will be holding their Annual Senior Open from Saturday July 26 until Saturday August 2, and entry is now open on Tournament Software. Link to enter is here. There are 19 seperate graded events, including Mens and Ladies Championship Singles and Doubles, and Championship Mixed Doubles. The Championship Singles finals will be held on the evening of Friday August 1, with the other finals taking place on Saturday August 2. Dear Member, Entry is now open for the 2025 Annual Club Handicaps.  The competition starts on Saturday June 28 with Finals taking place on Saturday July 12. This is a graded competition and suitable for players of all levels. There are five events, four handicap events: Men's Singles Ladies Singles Men's Doubles Ladies Doubles The fifth event is an Open Mixed Doubles and no handicaps are applied.  This event is a brilliant social event and has a long history as a fun event in the Club.  Everyone enters without a partner and the Tennis Committee do a blind draw for the pairings. Dear Members, Just a reminder that sign up for Mixed League is now open on Smart Club under the Events tile (select League from the drop down). Entry is open to all members aged over 18 as at December 31, 2024. Each team consists of 3 mixed doubles pairings and matches are played on Friday evenings at 7.30pm. The round robin stage starts on Friday July 4, and will run for 5 weeks. Dear Members, The CWLTC Junior Open is on 7th - 14th June. Entry closes on the 26th May and we would encourage all juniors from U12 to U18 to participate. Dear Member, The last of our Spring Singles Championships semi finals are being played tonight with the finals taking place tomorrow evening from 6pm. The schedule for both evenings is available here. Dear Member, We are pleased to let you know that Alannah will be running 2 coaching classes on Sundays for new member & beginner ladies starting Sunday April 27. Classes will be at 12pm and 1pm. The term will be for 4 weeks, April 27, May 11, 18 & 25. There will be no classes on the May bank holiday Sunday.
